I’m getting intermittent no starts on my ‘97 with B2721 & B2723 DTC’s. I have already replaced the ignition switch, lock cylinder & keys within the last 2 months. It worked great for the last 2 months. When I get the no start my aftermarket remote start will start the car. I do get the illuminated security light using the remote start. The security light flashes & the theft deterrent relay does not energize obviously causing my no start. What component other than the TDR should I be looking at? I installed a VATS bypass as well & still have these issues.

Reason: Add year of car
VATS Bypass?
Do you mean a set of precision resistors ( equal to the value of the resistor chip in the key) soldered to the VATs sensor harness (vehicle connector ) to eliminate the VATs sensor on the end of the ignition switch???
If you are getting B2721 & B2723 DTC’s the BCM is NOT seeing the correct signal from the VATS sensor on the end of the ignition switch when the key is installed. The car will NEVER start as long at you have that issue!!
Bill, yes the bypass plugs into the wiring harness & matches my key resistance. So I’m baffled how that isn’t allowing the vehicle to start. The 2723 fail is basically saying it’s not picking up my key correct? I have all new AC Delco parts installed. I have a hard time believing my lock cylinder is bad in just 2 months.
