Ok. Here’s the problem. Ac doesn’t work. Replaced compressor evaporator and all the fun stuff. Worked great blew 49 degrees. Hers where it goes south. Took car in to have torque tube replace and tranny rebuilt. The guy told me my air wasn’t blowing cold out of both sides and notice the vacuum line to intake was off. He reconnected it but no luck. The only control I have inside the car is the fan control. Could the climate control unit be bad? And how can you check it?
thanks in advance

There are codes for all kinds of failures on the AC system. Even if the main fuse was blown you should get a no comms message.
Dual control? When you say you only have fan control, do the buttons and/or ***** have no reaction? Hitting the mode button doesn't indicate a change to the air path? A/C light fails to illuminate?
The only buttons that work are the fan control and the ac on and off switch. Other than that there’s nothing. No codes no switching from vents to floor to defroster. The display changes but that’s it

Check and make sure you have vacuum inside the cabin. The fact that that line was messed with once already sounds like a great place to start. It goes over under the battery then into the cabin through the bulkhead in the wiring harness and then to the distribution block under the passenger side Dash. Remove the inner fender on the passenger side and you will see all that stuff on the a-pillar. Make sure everything works.

It goes over under the battery then through a check valve into a vacuum reservoir tucked into the passenger front fender, then into the cabin through the bulkhead in the wiring harness and then to the distribution block under the passenger side Dash. Minor revision to note the reservoir tucked into the fender, and that it is a good start. If the vacuum isn't at the distribution block, then none of the air path actuators will work, and all you'll have is air generally leaking out all of the vents, including the defroster -- and it's quite common.
