So on my way home yesterday, I noticed my water temp gauge climbing steadily. Outdoor air temp was around 80. Water temp was around 235ish and suddenly the car started to miss shifts (automatic). It almost feels like the car is stuck in 3rd gear..? I blasted the heat to help cool the engine bay and got it under control until I got home. Drove it around the block this morning to see how it shifted, and same issue. The tune calls for it to shift into 2nd at 14mph typically, but it never shifted. I pulled the DIC codes and got: C1276, B2284, B2285, U1064 and C2100. I looked each of them up and the only one that may make sense is the C1276 code possibly? Are these two issues possibly related, i.e. almost overheating and odd shifting, or lack thereof? I had the transmission rebuilt in October 2018 and have only driven the car for maybe 1,300 miles since I have had it out this May and am sweating that it's the transmission again. Any thoughts???
Thanks, Steve. After reading that, I don't think that's the problem. The car revved to 3500 RPM before shifting into second which is way higher than normal. Would shift solenoid's possibly do that? Update regarding the heat issue - turns out there was a pinhole leak in my radiator. I would never have noticed it since it was literally misting out my coolant and left no sign of dripping. So there's that, need a new radiator but knock on wood, problem there solved.
What are your transmission temps looking like? If your trans temps are high, you likely have something failing like a torque converter. A high trans temp can drive a high coolant temp due to the trans cooler running through the radiator.

not saying this is THE problem but these trans have been known to have sticky solenoids.
Powerflush it, add a can of Lucas non slip and refill..havent had it happen since.
Mine would always hang in 2nd longer first mi of the day only since it was new.
Dont believe in fix in a can but this stuff really does its job.
