Default Blend door actuators replaced

I replaced both blend door actuators and tried to clear the codes. Codes clear and return promptly without no cold AC. What else can the problem be.

If it were me, I would take the car to a A/C shop and let them diagonise the problem.

I did do a recalibration just now and cold air is coming out the passenger side and about 79 degrees is coming out the driver side. I will take to a shop and pay the 50 for a test

If it's cold on one side and warm on the other check the refrigerant level. That's the major symptom.

I will do that after I replace the actuators with genuine acdelco part # 1572971. I’ve heard that the cheaper actuators 30.00 are prone to be bad or not just work. May explain the reasons I’m still having both actuators codes after I changed them. Broke down and ordered the original ones tonight. Then to a AC shop to have Freon checked

Ok let me express this to everyone. Please replace these actuators with genuine acdelco replacements part number 15-72971. The cheap replacement they sale for 15.00 to 40.00 dollars are junk. Ac delco’s Are in and my air is back cold again on both sides with absolutely no codes. I found mine on eBay for 79.00 a piece. Better then paying the 119 Amazon wanted or 149 that the local part stores wanted. Thanks for any help and advice

I've used the Dorman actuator (part # 604-106) since 2014 with no problems.

Towards the rear of the engine (behind the oil pressure sending unit) …. there are a couple of bleed air rubber hoses …. if the hoses are torn worn or just not connected, your actuator doors will not operate and low Freon. I had the same issue warm air on the driver side and cold on the passenger side ….. bleed air will fix the actuator doors and Freon added has it so cold in my 04, I have to run my air condition on low speed only. I used a can of Freon from advance auto 16 bucks ….

You've got a vacuum leak. I just resolved the same issue. Check the tiny line coming off the back of the intake and check the female/female factory connector. I found another vacuum like the right size and zip tied it tight. Freezing cold AC.

yeah there are lots out there that say they will work....no matter what if you do all the work to replace them you MUST check that they actually work properly before replacing the dash...its easy to do with the dash out. I know people who didn't do this and well...

glad you got it resolved

Yeah. Thanks. The first go around I did a recalibration by unplugging the #27 fuse. Watched the little flaps open and close and THOUGHT I had her whipped so I threw the dash back together. Start the car up for my final check and still no cold cold ac from drivers side and cold on passenger side. I read somewhere on the forms and they said use either dormain or ac delco only but I went the cheap way out the first go around. Now that the ac delco parts are in no more issues with codes or functions. Blows damn cold now
