1800 rpm rumble

1800 rpm rumble
1800 rumble on 2001 C5 coupe. Fourth gear manual shift at 40 mph and did not feel it but was told slightly less at 3600 rpm.
Balancer has been changed out by someone claiming to know what they were doing. I did a search and found lots of 1800 issues with C7's.
Has anyone been down this road? I am tending to think between flywheel and rear end. Just dont know how 1800 comes in to play..

If you put the trans mission in gear, depress the clutch and rev the engine to the speed where the vibrations happen, what do you get. That takes the entire TT back out of the issue.
If you put the trans in Neutral, clutch released and do the same above rev and get a vibration, its Torque tube related.

Right in front of me and I did not think of doing that check and its not in the drive line. The rumble really shows up around 1800 to 1900 sitting still you can really feel it.
More information has been found and its not good. A friend noticed air bubbles in the coolant tank at idle and a lot more at speed. Thinking about Dex Cool I asked the owner of the car if he had changed the anti freeze and no he had not and he has owned the car shy five years but got it with this rumble in it when he bought it so maybe previous owner dumped it on him.
Time I think to do a compression test and a pressure leak down on the coolant. Car has 81K on it so many things could be in need if neglected. Bob H
