Default Water pump gasket issue

Need help...! I am replacing my water pump on 2000 z28 (but it's the same as c5).

When I took the pump out, I noticed only 2 of the orange rubber gasket left where it should be. So I take that as the other 2 pieces of orange rubber are somewhere in the coolant system. So I tried taking apart the old pump as much as possible and found part of the 2nd orange circle rubber gasket material (see photo) in the thermostat spring.

I can't find the rest of the 2nd orange circle gasket and I can't find the 2nd rectangle gasket part.

What would you do? Is it ok to try flushing the block with hose water? How big of a deal is it that I can't find the remaining part of the old gaskets?

2nd of all... Are these bolts reusable or should I just buy new ones? I haven't tried cleaning them up. The top 2 bolts seem fine but the rest look not great

Any advice appreciated..

I replaced the water pump on my c5z couple years ago and didn't have to deal with this issue..

I would not lose a lot of sleep over it, I replaced my bad bolts (had them laying around) and I use small o-rings to hold the gasket on to the waterpump for ease of installing( on the bolts) !!!! bigger question is how did the silicone part separate after mounting ????

This should probably go over to the Other Cars section, but instead I’m moving it to the C5 Tech section for some additional responses.
