I had a new auto trans installed. It fluttered quite a bit and has pretty much gone away except at 49mph it has a good lurch to it and the rpms jump anywhere from 500-1000. I give it a little rev of the throttle and it seems to catch. Dealership says it is part of the “learning “process , should I be worried? the car has 185600 miles on it the transmission is brand new gm auto with a little over 1000 miles on it since install. Thanks for all the advice.
There is a learn period for modern transmissions. I don’t know how many miles it takes but I would think by 1,000 miles it should of learned your driving style. I would take it back to where you bought it and had it installed and have the transmission tech take a ride with you. You have a warranty. Make them make it right.
They should NOT need to learn that bad for that long.. Something is wrong. Take it back and have the service manger ride with you. Show him your concerns.

Just picking it up and they are telling me it has a preexisting leak and is 2 1/2 quarts low. However they can’t find or show me a leak. Seems a little fishy.
