Default Tech 2 clone automated bleeding

I have a new Tech 2 clone with GM software version 33.004. When I go to chassis special functions the menu does not list automated bleeding. It has automated test, which will check the valves, but
no automated bleeding feature. Am I missing something, do I need a newer version of software? Is there something on the CD's that came with it that adds this feature?

It completes the automated test but gives no options after that. I have a 2000 with tcs/ah.
After running the automated test, the only option is exit.

I tried telling the tech 2 that my car was a 1999 model, and it did show the automated bleed option but would not connect.

I had my F45 programmed out by a tech 2 a couple of years ago, could that have anything to
do with this?

when you start that tech you have to give it the correct body style /year or it wont have all of the features. The cd's dont have that info on them

Is the automated bleeding feature not offered for the 2000 model?

I'm sorry I don't pay attention to all the stuff I do (like it's a reflex) but I do believe you need to use the Candi box, won't hurt to try ??? (I always leave the Candi box hooked up )

Candi made no difference. All other functions are available and work fine. The 2000 model is kind of unique, different than the 98/99 and before the 2001 upgrades. Obviously the automated bleeding feature is not available for the 2000. Bummer, that was my main reason for purchasing the tech 2

I think you have to choose 1997 or 1998 to get the Automated bleed to show up .
This is how my Tech2win screen looks like when I choose 97 or 98 .
If I choose 99 or 00 the F1:Automated Bleed does not show up on my Tech2win or my Tech2 clone .
I will try out the rest of the Automated Bleed prosedure using Tech2win later this winter when I replace the brake fluid .

I did get it to show up when selecting the 98/99. I'll try that again. I was looking in my shop manual and it makes no reference to the tech 2 in the brake bleeding section

Oh man, that's it. Thank you so much. It works using the 1998 settings.
Does not like the 1999 or 2000

Very good it worked out for you.

I have only done the two initial screen shown above but will try to carry out the whole Automated bleed procedure when my wheels are off later .
Maybe do some screen dumps of the different Tech2win screens and post it here at CF

Just another of the many great tips from the Corvette forum. I would have never figured this out without help from the people on this site
