12 Disc CD Changer

2002 Auto. Recently had some work done (new LS2). Everything worked fine before. The radio works fine and I can go from AM to FM with no problem. My problem is when I depress the CD button nothing is happening. It will stay on whatever station is playing. I checked the CD Changer in the trunck and it has power and seems to work fine. I also inserted a CD in the dashboard and it played. Seems like the CD AUX button is not working. Any ideas?

When you say “new ls2” you’re saying that you’re motor was replaced?

Yes, I threw a rod in the original LS1 and replaced it with a new LS2 block. I didn't do the work. If I remember correctly,. there is a kit when converting from the LS1 to LS2

Worth a try, I had a 97 caddy seville with a 12 disc c.d. player,whenever it acted up I simply pulled the power supply cord on the unit for a minute, it corrected any
problems.

Does your readout say "Err"? Have you checked that the CD's in the changer are in 'up side down'? Is the changer door closed, tightly?

Yeah. Most likely the cd is upside down.

No error message on dashboard. CD are in correctly. I opened and shut the door to make sure it was closed. Very weird. Before when I pressed the CD/AUX button on the radio it worked fine. It seems like the button itself is not working.
