I am using a deep six sided 19mm lug socket that fits perfect but the lugs arent budging even in the slightest regardless of how much pressure is applied like they are fused on or something?? Has anyone else encountered this?
not the best for the job. A typical socket wrench. My friend somehow dropped my breaker bar inyo the compartment below the battery as we were changing pulleys lasy week and i cant get to it without the tire being removed so i can access the side panel. Randomly had a flat tire as well.

you probably just can't get enough leverage... if you have a cheater pipe or a jack handle you can try putting it over the wrench handle and use slow even pressure to loosen them
On a serious note, sounds like you just need a bigger wrench. Lug nuts are usually torqued to at least 100 ft*lbs. You aren’t going to break them loose with a standard 3/8” ratchet and no breaker bar.

I use a 18" pipe for additional leverage....when not using the impact wrench.

Go to an AutoZone or O'Reillies where you can rent an electric impact wrench. You will also need a short 1/2" drive extension and a 19mm impact socket . It will have enough torque to remove the lug nuts. Once they are off, carefully inspect the threads on the studs and the lug nuts.
The lug nuts are tightened to 100 ft-lbs so if you don't have a torque wrench, either store should have one. You just need to put a deposit down on the tools and when you bring them back in good condition, you will get your deposit back. Makes the tool rental free!!

If the lug nuts have been on a long time they may have corroded to the wheel. The GM stainless steel jacketed lug nuts are notorious for seizing to an aluminum wheel. One tire shop changing tires on one of my mid 80s GM cars had to hammer on a smaller size socket after the steel jacket came loose then attach an 18 inch breaker bar with a 3 ft long pipe over the breaker bar. It took one really beefy guy jumping on the pipe to break the nut loose. When it came loose it sounded like a rifle shot. Never had the problem on my Vettes because I changed wheels/tires several times per track season whereas the other car had the tires rotated once per year.
Take off your jack handle and throw it on your wrench if you got a hand held propane torch even a new age cigarette torch would head it enough spray some wd-40 and it should come off !
I finally broke down and bought an electric impact wrench from Harbor Freight for $39.
I have used the heck out of it too!
It makes lug nuts a cinch.
I got one of those about 30 years ago. Used it a lot on cars and deck projects. It finally wore out. Bought a new one from them. It appears to be identical to my first one. For as cheap as they are I wasn’t expecting it to last long.
Proper heavy duty six point socket and a LONG breaker bar. With the car on the ground break eack one loos and then jack and remove the wheel.

i got the deep lug socket and the curved extendable lug wrench from wal mart and it loosened them right up no problem!! A screw was right in middle of tread and made for easy 5 min patch. Has held air last two days of driving no problem. As always thanks for the help!
