Default Plug Wires for Custom Setup

What are some of the top quality wires to be had out there right now?

I'm not looking for oem kits. I am once again remote mounting my coils, having just assembled the frame to secure the new D585 truck coils.

I have my old notes somewhere on my computer regarding lengths, boot types and angles needed from my first attempt.

But what is a top wire set for a high performance build?

First time through I did it all myself with trips to sears and Napa. Lol. This time I went easy with an ICT frame kit and Michigan motorsports wire looms. I feel like I am cheating!!

Back to the ls1tech early days, MSD Wires have served more than well (including me).

Never tried them or heard feedback, but Magnecor is supposed to be best.

Taylor and Accel make universal kits that have ceramic ends that protect the boots from heat and you don't have to use those crappy socks

who makes those coil brackets?... I have the same coils but those brackets look nicer than the ones I have

I relocated my coils in the fenders and used the 7mm Taylor kit. Buy the one with “LT1 terminals”.

That’s the kit I used.

Here is a good question after looking at options. When I did it before I cut the wire sets so the routing lengths were perfect fit. However, they were minorly different overall lengths. Example being the packs along the firewall frame in driver fender with #1wire being longer than #7 due to reach.

Should they all be a uniform length instead?

mine are all pretty close but they are different lengths, I either buy universal kits or a spool of wire then get the boots and coil ends and build my own... covering them with heat resistant loom will make them look nicer and provide some extra protection

Agreed. I have collected a few DEI products recently for the engine bay and plan to grab a few more for thin wire sections and the plug wires. I used to run the big fiberglass socks but am thinking the silicone coated fiberglass sheaths are the way to go with this one.
