Default Zo6 Titanium muffler question

Seller wants $250 for titanium muffler orignally asking $350. Thing is the front pipes are cut off the muffler. My question is is this muffler worth $250 with the front pipes cut off the muffler or less ?
i suppose i can always use extension and claps to hold in place but prefer to weld it back on.
I spoke to midas muffler shop the person had no idea what titanium muffler is. Says he's to mig welder bring it by and take a look see if weldable.

Anyone know of a shop that can weld titanium in my area? NW Suburbs of Gurnee,Round lake, fox lake, mundelein, etc 60073?
How much i can expect for weding.will this muffler mount direct to my 97 C5 base?

I love titanium. It's good at high temp, strong and light, but I wouldn't give $100 for this muffler set. I don't think you can mig Ti, the wire has to match the weldment. Pretty sure it's tig only, and with Ti welding rod. Photo does indicate pipe stubs on the front of the mufflers, so will the pipes be butt welded to the pipe? Sounds like it will be a weak weld. No pre-installation alignment possible, so welds will have to be done under the car. And then, when you're done, it will be much too quiet, so really you need to start with the bypass mod. Around Orlando (where I reside) just having a flange re-welded on plain steel was $40.

I once sold an uncut Ti set for about $400....
You should search around for an uncut set!
They sound better and will be a lot lighter than stock exhaust....

Was really stupid of them to cut pipes that way! Too big of a hassle now to fix it.

If they had jacked the car up higher in the back they could have wiggled the pipes out without cutting!

They are junk. Free is not cheap enough considering the time and effort needed to make them usable again. I bought a mint set for 275.00. Keep looking.

They're out there but takes a while to find a good deal like you did. I will keep on looking. By any chance is the ZO6 intake/exhaust manifolds and center cross pipe better flow than base c5? Is worth investing in them?

I agree, keep looking. I found a nice set for 300 dollars, getting them put on Thursday. Hoping for a little more growl.

NO! I bought a complete awesome set delivered for a few hundred dollars. Just keep looking. The seller cut them off to install an aftermarket not realizing their value.
