So I noticed my car has the stock exhaust manifolds, but it looks like those air check things are blocked off with little plates, instead of a tube that connects to the manifold...

The '01-'03 LS6 valley cover uses an external PCV valve in the attached hose
The '04 LS6 and LS1 valley cover has a fixed orifice built into the hose fitting

Yes, I'd specifically look for the '04 version since it's the best. The part number that k24556 put in post #11 is the one you want.
