Like many of you, I have decided to install a transmission cooler and was wondering if the "barbed fitting, hose clamp" installation technique that they all seem to come with, was really adequate. Have any of you had a leakage problem doing it this way? Would it be better to use "an type" fittings and braided hose? Thanks. WHAT SIZE FITTINGS (an type) do you use at the radiator and for the trans return line???? HELP. Thanks :seeya
It seems like they would provide added security/durability, etc. Anyone know what size an fittings to use? Is the radiator filling 1/2" thread? Thanks for the help; hope you have a good Thanksgiving!
I used slip on hoses with clamps on another car and the clamps would need tightening every so often, especially in the cold. I would never install a cooler like that again.
Thanks Face. Does anyone know what AN type fitting is needed for the trans fluid return line? (The one that you disconnect from ther radiator). I want to order the parts, but don't want to take the car apart until I have to. Thanks for the help. :seeya
Help.... I need to know the fitting sizes and types for the radiator and the return line. There must be someone out there who has installed a trans cooler. Thanks :)
