I removed the CD changer on my 03 Vert a long time ago. I was able to unscrew the bolts and remove the bracket, it was not glued. I just left the studs. You might try a Dremel with a small cutoff wheel. If you use a drill, be very careful not to drill into the gas tank!

This bracket seems to be in another location? This is a FRC/Z06, and the bracket is fixed to the rear plate of the trunk.
