Spit? reverse spit? and why??
I had a 95 GT Mustang and I ran a split lift/duration CAM it it, with the exhaust numbers being the greater. How does all this work out for LS1/C5s. I was just at Thunderracing.com and I noticed they have a choice of three, split, reverse split, and equal numbers???
ALSO, what are the factory CAM numbers??
THANKS

The split has to do with more duration on the exhaust or intake. There are various reasons. There are symterical camshafts with identical intake and exhaust profiles. There are split profiles which have more lift and duration on the exhaust. There are reverse splits where the intake has more lift and duration than the exhaust.
Many factors such as port flow on intake and exhaust, intended use, nitrous, etc... all come into play...
As I said go over there and look, the information could fill volumes...
