Default Wipers won't shutoff
Wipers won't shut off and wiper motor has been replaced on my 1999 Corvette. Does anyone have any ideas?

Wipers shutoff when ignition is off but, continue to run with ignition in the ON position. Wiper motor has just been replaced. Strange things happening though. Is it possible that they can be related? Possibly a switch in the steering columb?

Also another very simple thing worth trying is to remove the wiper fuse for a fews seconds and re-insert. See if the wipers will reset and go down. It's down in the pass. side footwell. Check the decal on the inside of the lid for the location. It's blue. I think blue is 10amp if I recall

And yes it could be a bad motor.

I have pulled the 10 amp fuse just to keep from burning up the new motor. Could it be that a multi function switch is causing this issue?

Check to see if the washer button is in place and working. When mine popped out, the wipers continued to run since the little spring was not making contact.

Thanks Powderski13. I finally had to give up and take it to hopefully someone who knows windshield wipers. I bought another new motor but the same issue is there. I checked the button on the switch and it appears to be working. Love my Vette but it seems to need my attention like a girl an awful lot. Lol

Turned out to be a bad motor out of the box. All fixed and ready for the rain that is on its' way.

Cool! Mine was actually the springs under the button problem. Just had time to take apart a lighter and the fix worked like a charm.
