Have a 2000 c5 automatic with 98000 . I was driving it today and it started to shift slow from first to second on normal acceleration but on slower acceleration it seems ok . Seems other shift point are ok. Will drive it again tomorrow for another test. Thanks for any guidance.
It could also be a weak solenoid on the valve body. I'm not a tranny guy, but my car has a stock 4L60E with 115,000 miles on it. With an LS7 yanking on it. Never changed the trans filter, but did change the fluid at 99,000 miles. Try running some of that trans medic sticky valve cleaner. Vettes sit for long periods of time, and you may have a weak solenoid or a slow acting valve. Worth a try......
Ok I checked the fluid level and its full. Test drove it and only first to second shift drags out . The rest of the gears are fine as is the downshift. I did notice the speedometer seems to read faster then Im going (reads high) . Not sure if that has any affect.
