Anybody has instruction on how to replace the ignition switch (that pieces that has a green cover with some connectors) on a c5 corvette? I cant seem to find videos or nothing
What is your present status on the switch replacement? What have you done so far? You need to remove the console, then you can access the screws for the ignition switch. You have to remove and unplug the switch and inspect the cars switch harness connector for bent/burnt/spread apart pins.
Insert the key into the removed switch key cylinder, turn it to the ON RUN position. Depress the small metal tab on the side of the key cylinder portion of the switch body and remove your OEM key cylinder. Insert cars OEM Key Cylinder into the new switch body. Reverse the procedure.
I am also needing help on this task. I've removed all of the things needed but nowhere have I found an explanation on how to actually remove the switch from the dash. I've removed the two bolts that hold the switch to the bracket but I can't budged the switch. It feels like something is preventing it from being pushed back or down. I've watched a half a dozen but none of them actually mention the removal of the switch.Am I missing a step?

thats weird, I already finished the whole process, but after I removed the 2 bolts i was able to pash back the ignition switch and bring it down, had to use a little force due the the 3 connection being in the back of the ignition switch. Stick your hand behind the ignition switch, grab the cables and pull back on them while with the other hand you push the switch back and try to push it down.
