Unusual column lock problem
Everytime I put the key in the ignition or start the car, I get the SERVICE COLUMN LOCK Message. Once I press RESET, it never comes back. My steering wheel never locks. My fuel never cuts off at 2mph. I only get the DIC message, which I can clear. I've tried using HPTuners to remove the column lock feature from the ECM, but it still gives me the SERVICE COLUMN LOCK message. I'm stumped. Is there a way to stop this message from appearing?
I know this is a hot issue with C5s, but please don't flame me. I haven't owned the car too long, and I don't know what mods or recalls the previous owners have done.

When you see the message, have you ever read the DTCs using the internal DTC reading routine? What DTCs do you see?
Bill
I've pulled DTC's by using HP Tuners. I've never seen a column lock DTC. I have not used the internal DTC reading routine. I'll google how to do that, and see if there is a COLUMN LOCK DTC.
