Default Tire replacement

Hello!

I have stock wheels and tires on my C5 corvette, and I have a leak in both front tires, they are also from 2008 so i'd like to replace them for next year. I don't want to replace them with runflats again as I think they are terrible to drive with, so I'm looking to replace them with some normal tires. Would there be a problem having runflats in the rear and normal tires in the front? My rear tires was replaced in 2016 and looks brand new so I don't have to replace them, unless I would run into some issues using different tires

I've run regular radials and runflats at the same time, and had no problem at all. I believe it isn't advisable to do this, but you can check into it, as you're doing now. If you check with a tire dealer, I'm certain they'll be happy to sell you some tires so they match up at all 4 corners. They're in business for 1 thing only, and that's to sell, or repair tires, along with wheels. I personally think it could make a difference in a competition situation, as the handling could become "different" when mixing and matching. I'm sure you'll get a lot of opinions on this. I don't own any runflats anymore. They ride stiffer, and don't have the grip of standard radials. Just my preference......

If they're from 2008 I certainly wouldn't!!

EDIT I initially misread the OP. The rear tires are only 4 years old, the front ones are the 12 year old ones.....

Yeah, 12 year old tires are pushing your luck, and not a good 💡idea

I know you dont want to replace all 4 tires. I just am doing it and here's what I did and got an amazing deal.
I decided to go with Michelin run flats because I want to do trips and don't want to have to carry a compressor and fix a flat and I don't want to have to wait for a tow truck, if needed.
I went online and priced check Sams club, Costco, Discount tires, Tire rack. Once I got the best price for the tires, I did a online price match at Discount and as a result they gave me the best price I could find and then beat the best price by $40 a tire if I bought 4. I also got a $70 rebate from Discount for buying Michelins. I just did the 97-00 to 01-04 TPMS conversion...Discount will change out the tpms for me and will program them at no charge also.
