Default Easy entry seat

I have a 99 frc and whenever I start the car, the easy entry option activates and moves the seat all the way back and down. This should only happen when i turn the car off. The option is turned to off and i have tried turning it on and off multiple times. Anyone had the same issue and solved it?

So are U trying to turn the seat assist off through the options menu? I have mine turned off and it still moves IF i lock the doors and when I open them it moves to preset position and I too thought if I have the option turned OFF no seat movement should happen at ALL. Our options button must not be functioning as it should. Does you seat move if you haven't locked the doors and enter the car as mine does. Mine is OK if I don't lock the doors, go figure.

The same reason you have is why I do not lock or unlock the car using the remote. Everything turned off but it still moves when the remote is used.
No movement if I use the key to unlock and the door panel to lock.

I rarely lock the car anyway but will try the key lock method. U would think this wouldn't happen if the option was disabled. Thanks

I don't understand how the memory functions work in my car or something is wrong with it. Every time I get in the car I have to readjust the driver side mirror because it moves out a little bit each time the car is unlocked. Sometimes the seat tries to crush me against the steering wheel...and sometimes it moves all the way back on its own. Never while driving thankfully just at startup.

I have set the seat and mirrors and then saved the setting to both memory positions and yet it still acts up.

Is it the seat, the door switch or what? I don't even care about the memory settings as long as I can still use the telescopic wheel function I'm good. I wouldn't mind doing a "memory delete" on my car.

If you don't lock the car does the seat move or just when you lock it.? Try using key to lock and unlock as mentioned and see what happens. Clearly our seats aren't working as intended for whatever reason.

Honestly I have no idea, it seems utterly random as far as I can tell. The driver side mirror always seem to adjust itself a bit regardless of what the seat does or doesn't do each time. Drives me nuts.

Two things I did at the same time to resolve the mirror adjustment change and seat moving issues.

1.Had the battery tested and it showed a bad cell, replaced it.
2. After swapping the battery resaved the memory on all 3 positions AFTER I programmed everything including radio stations, setting the temperature, ac and hvac settings in auto.

I use the remote now and everything works great!

So looking through the seat conversion problem thread I found out about another thread here that in post 18 has a PDF with details how to make a relay to just operate the telescoping wheel. In that PDF it says that;

"The black connector has the power, ground, seatbelt signal and data buss for the memory function. The
blue connector is for the telescopic steering column. It has the connections for the switch, power and
stop sensors."

Is there a way to disable the data bus wire? I guess we need to know which one it is or if there are more than one? What if I disconnect just that connector will my mirrors still work? If anybody knows that would be awesome.

Also I saved the PDF because I don't plan to keep these janky factory seats forever anyway.
