Default MN6 Question

On the manual transmission, where is the spring located the creates the L-R centering force for the shift lever? I know the 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 detent is on the upper RR of the trans. Many folks shim it to reduce force. Is there an external spring/detent that controls centering side-to-side?

Self centering is on top of the trans has to come out. But you want to do antivonam that's where you add shims. Little less then 1/8 inh
check out Google. It will show location and how to do it it
from experience it does nothing for self centering

Self-centering for left-right is internal to the transmission. It's item 46 in this exploded view: https://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.c...rimLevel=25296

You can see a good view of it in the 3rd picture in this post: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1594000447

It's a pretty crappy arrangement, and apparently that spring was discontinued back in 2013.
