THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! I have a 2004 bought a Foxwell NT510ELITE Scanner GM CLONE for $150 Amazon, Deleted RealTimeDamping and the MAX80MPH is still there! Blew my MIND!
I found the module in the Driverside rear, removed the plugs in the order given, from the above link, you have to follow it EXACTLY. and the Shocks Inoperative code and MAX 80MPH is GONE!

Reason: fixed typo
IT can be done but you just can't delete it in the BCM. You have to reprogram the bcm to remove the option, but you also have to reprogram the PCM as well. Once both are programmed it will be gone. You also have to make sure that the module for the shock in the rear compartment is disconnected. Did this on a couple of cars, but you have to do all of it listed above. Once a PCM has connected with a BCM with F55 it is expecting to see it so you have to reprogram the PCM. You do not have to change anything in the PCM just reprogram with your VIN. On start up though it needs to see the BCM with option on the shock turned off. Also if the module is plugged in the BCM will automatically recognize it and program it as such, so that is the first thing that needs to be done. The hardest part of all of this will be programming the PCM using the new Techconnect. I have had trouble with it just getting my MDI to hook up.

Just make sure nobody ever plugs the pigtails back in! If that happens, ya gotta do it all over again.....
Thanks gents. There is lots of conflicting information on the web. Looks like I need to stick to the wisdom on this forum.
I don't have an 03 yet but those I have been looking at have the 50th badging.
Sounds like if 2003 with 50th Anniversary and has the Tour / Sport Suspension selection it does have the F55 but is able to be programmed out when pursuing replacement shocks?
It looks like the one I am interested in (below) may have 50th badges but does not have the F55 as it doesn't have the selection. Did all the 03's have the 50th badges?
I truly hope no F55 hahaha.

I think you're getting confused about what exactly you're calling a 50th anniversary edition. All 03 models had some badging denoting 50th something because 53 was the first year. But not all 03 models had the 1SC package that was called 50th Anniversary Edition- Sport Coupe or Convertible. According to the Corvette Black Book Magnetic Selective Ride Control was part of the 1SC package on both models.

I purchased a TechLine sub for $45 in hopes I can reprogram the PCM and ECM to disable the F55 RPO on my 2004. However, in the SPS2 software only the PCM (and VATS) comes up as a programmable module. Not the BCM. Do you think reprogramming the PCM will be enough to get rid of this 80mph limit message ?

Do you have a list of the steps to remove F55 from a 2004?
I have done several 2003 and older cars, want to be prepared to assist on the 2004s.

'04s are even trickier than the '03s are. Even C&S, a highly reputable shop here in Florida, had no luck doing this for awhile. However, some forum members have found a way to do it. There are specific steps that absolutely must be followed. I don't remember exactly what the steps are, but they are slightly different from the '03 model's. A search should point you in the right direction....
