New best again.....
Just got back from the last T/T of the year at Ennis. Perfect weather: clear, sunny, cool and dry with high pressure overhead. The DA at 10:00 was less than -500 ft. so I knew the runs would be good today.
We were one of the first there and got on the track immediately. Ran 5 runs:
1. 12.260@111.78
2. 12.121@112.26 :cheers:
3. 12.253@110.68
4. 12.221@111.74
and a less than stellar
5. 12.647@110.9 mph with a poor launch at 3500 rpms.
The first four runs were better than my last best of 12.298 3 weeks ago. From the second run on, we were playing around with LS1_Edit, changing the timing/KR settings and probably should have stopped at the 12.121 run! Needless to say, we loaded that run back in after we blew the tires off trying to launch at 3500 rpms! A 3000 launch seems a better compromise, as we got a best 1.692 60 ft, the first time in the 1.6's. We also had our first less than 5 sec 330 ft time.
I was surprised there were not more cars there. Most of the time, we only waited less than 5 minutes to run, with a few times the lanes were vacant! Now that is a rarity.
Guess that wraps up the year for us as we decide what to do next over the winter.
