Default Pressure plate/ Slave problems i\on install

Hey I have a 2000 corvette and I am swapping the clutch. I have everything installed except I am about 1/2 inch from my torque tube bolting up to my bellhousing. The slave cylinder is completely compressed and is touching the fingers on the pressure plate. Is there a way to adjust the fingers on the pressure plate?

I found another post about this same issue a while back but it didnt seem to get resolved on the post.

As a start, here are some pics of a stock and aftermarket plate, disc, flywheel set up assembled. The picture does not show it well, but with a straight edge, the stock fingers are level with plate and aftermarket is within thousandths. It does appear your bearing is compressed all the way down. Which would lead me to believe the plate or something is not collapsing the fingers. Being green, I assume it is a (performance?) unit. Where did the used one come from and what brand is it.

looks like monster clutch, if it is call them heard they have great support. never seen this before and the TT is not even pulled tight to bell house. like above said take it out and see where the fingers are. if it goes back to normal its got to be something with the install. it's pretty straightforward install so a weird one.

Don't want to disparage the author. Is there a chance the disc was put in backwards? I cannot get a good picture on the internet to see how high the center of disc is compared to stock. But from the image I can see on the Monster site, the center appears to not be as high as stock. Also, was the whole assembly changed? Or only disc, plate? Could a picture be taken of the plate and how it fits to the flywheel?

I would pull that whole unit(flywheel, disc, pressure plate) back out and lay it out on a table and see where things sit.

Doesnt look right to me.

Call Monster.

I dont believe Monster sells anything that works with the factory LS1/6 flywheel.

Almost everything I believe has an aftermarket flywheel to adapt stuff to the LS1/6 motors.

This is the least expensive, lowest HP at 550 Monster makes for a 2000 C5. Does not differentiate between base and Z06. Is this the one in the car?

Hey sorry I was on a trip and I could not get the site to work on my phone. That is the right one. The clutch is in there right. I did buy it used from a forum member. I pulled the assembly and it looks like the pressure plate friction material is recessed into the pressure plate, unlike the stock pressure plate. Also the fingers stick out farther. I did use the stock flywheel that I had turned. I did not know that you needed a specific flywheel for this assembly. I will look into that. Also had a tough time contacting monster as their customer service is all online now.
