If you like the thin spoke design (I, for one, really do) but want them in a chrome configuration, there are often sets available on the parts for sale forum. There is, in fact, a set on the forum right now for the ridiculously low price of $600 for the set, plus shipping, of course.

A tad more money than cheap reproduction wheels, but for the investment you get light strong forged aluminum instead of dreadfully heavy cast (most aftermarket). You can get light, strong, forged aftermarket wheels -- but your budget will have conniptions

I would stay with the 17/18" wheels
I put C6 19/18 OEM factory chrome wheels put on my car and it lost power at low end. It will hardly take
off now..
Unless something else happened within the first 50 miles I drove it
after the wheels and tires were installed. I would rather have the 18/17 chrome any day.
I have never seen anybody else here say they went to C6 size 19/18 and it had any effect on performance.

18's and 19's are fine. Need to use the lower profile tires to keep the over all diameter near the same as oem.

I put on C6 rims and there was no effect that was noticable on performance. I weighed my old and new wheels and they were within a pound or two of each other. The only reason for not using the C6 wheels is the spacer you have to add to the rear to make them look right. There's probably something else going on with you car for it to lose performance, since the tire diameters are essentially the same.

A lot depends on what you want from your car. I'm not a high speed, let it all hang out in the corners guy. More of a drag race fan. So, if I had it to do again, from the get-go, I'd run 17x9.5 front AND rear. If 17x11 are available in thin spoke, I'd probably go with those in the back. For several reasons.
#1: There was a large selection of 17" tires available last I looked, though it's been awhile.
#2: Price. 17s seem to have a price advantage over the 18", and up tires.
#3: Ride quality is improved with the extra 1/2" of sidewall, compared to the 18" tires.
#4: Launch. The 17" has that extra 1/2" sidewall, which can "wrinkle effect" on a hard launch, planting more rubber on the pavement.
#5: Easier on the driveline. That extra sidewall acts as a shock absorber during a launch, so the driveline doesn't get such an impact, compared to a short sidewall. NOW-I'll admit, if I was doing a HPDE on a road course, 19" and 20" tires would hold an advantage over the 17". All depends on what you want from the car. Hope this helps.......

Default Wheel option

I bought these black ones for Dad's 2000 model from Ecklers ecklerscorvette.com . Set was around $600 a couple years ago. They have several chrome options on their site.
