Hi there Fellow Vette Lovers! I'm in SW Michigan and drive my baby from April through the end of October or Mid November, and I unfortunately have had 2 bad experiences with my local Chevrolet Dealership already. The one related to my top is the replacement of the rubber above the side windows. When I called, and expressed a little shock over the estimate, they quickly informed me that Corvette Central was 20 min away off 94 in Sawyer and that I could save money (20%) off the parts, which I did. I paid almost $750 for the 4 pieces/seals and labor service at LeValley Chevrolet, and when it rained, I had more water coming in then before I replaced them. They said they did a water, that they were properly installed, and that it was the seals on my windshield. I find this hard to believe bc where the water comes in, is above the window in between the 2 rubber pieces and the back corner on the driver's side and middle and front on the passenger side. They also said, this is the "way" all Vette convertibles are. I am not able to drive my Vette if it rains now. Thank you for reading!! I hope someone out there can help. Naomi
All convertibles don't leak since mine doesn't You can tell them that. You probably have to bring it to someone that can tell you where it's really leaking from and get an estimate. Maybe a shop that installs convertible tops. Then go back to the dealer and get them to fix it if it's their work that is defective.
Before going further, here is what I would do if presented with your issue. I would spray the windshield with water setting the nozzle at a fine hard stream all around the window seals and see what happens. If no water intrusion, then do the same on the windows where the new seals were installed. If you have water, back to the stealership with your results.
I have a 2003 Convertible and I have no leaks when it rains. In June of this year, my wife and I attended Corvette Adventures. There are road tours you sign up for. On the Friday road tour it rain so hard that the road tour my wife and I were on, had to pull to the side of the road because you could not see. It rained extremely hard for 45 minutes. Not a drop of water in my Corvette.

I'm guessing here, but if the 'stealer' was asked to R&R the weatherstripping, they'll look at it like this;
We replaced the weatherstripping, as you requested'. 'What's the problem, now'? 'Whaaat-It leaks'? 'Well, that's a completely different problem'. 'R&Ring the weatherstripping price does NOT include window adjustments'. 'Please make an appointment with our service department as soon as possible for an estimate and any repairs/adjustments'. Or something like that.......
I bet the profile on the aftermarket weatherstripping does not match the profile of the GM originals. I know this because I purchased an aftermarket one, put it on and ran into the same issue as yourself. I took it off and put the original back on until I buy all 4 pieces from GM. Very expensive lesson. A dealer rarely will use aftermarket parts. Good luck.
Dealers have a company come out called seek and seal, they specialize in car leaks. They even do warranty repairs, hope it works for you before the next rainy season.
