A vendor wants to step up and send me the 1.85s...I have the next 2 weeks off, have 2 solid dynos with my current mods (intake and exhaust) and access to a reputable dyno (Mike Norris) for the after results :)
If its free try it, the only pita is the springs. I would highly recommend swapping the rockers after a couple of baseline dynos - it takes about 40 minutes to swap rockers once the springs are in :)

I think the reason most haven not done them is due to the fact most cams that are ground have lil messages on them (the websites at the vendors) saying do not use 1.8 rockers with this cam. I have yet to see anything that says its ok. But I think that is mainly due to the high lift.If thats all i was gonna do maybe i would go that route. But I would rather have a cam instead hell the hardest part on a cam install is the freakin springs, and you hve to replace those anyways with the rockers

They are referring to putting the rockers on a stock cam. People on ls1tech have tried them but no one ever says anything, I figured I could get get maybe 8-10rwhp tops so I tried it. You will maybe pick up 2 degrees of duration at 050, little faster ramp and approx 10% more lift with a 1.85 rocker. Now figure even a new fast ramp cam like TR220 (560 lift) will usually gain ~25-35rwhp how can those rockers gain 20? I hope a few people do try them, I can only relate my experience with my car. If people start gaining 20rwhp I'll be the first to give them a big thumbs up.

The slp rockers + springs are 530.00, its not like its a very expensive mod. BTW the spring swap is a piece of cake on these, getting the cam out is a slight project. I have nothing against SLP (I dont care for their customer service but thats besides the point) or Crane or Jesel - matter of fact if I put ported heads on this car I'll try a 1.8 rocker, should work well with this cam..
