It appears that my first thought (Heads/Cam/TC/3.42) were correct. The one thought that needs to be discussed is warranty as the car has less than 1500 miles on the odo.
Money is not the object, and Mario is also looking at trading for a New Viper (2003) as he believes he cannot get the HP/TQ out of the Vette with just Heads/Cam/TC/Gears. Any thoughts ?? (not a Vette slam, but take this only to the HP level , not your particular favorite automobile)
I'm confused. Money is no object, but warrantee is. No flames intended, but I've never understood this kind of concern. You are willing on spending several thousand dollars on mods, but don't want to be out of warrantee. All being out of warrantee means is that you will have to spend your own money to fix anything that fails as a result of the mod. Just figure out how much money is at risk for fixing mod related failures, and factor that in to the cost of the mods.
If money is not the object, he can easily build a C5 with 715 FWHP and wax Vipers without even pushing the gas pedal to the floor. Whatever your friend does, I hope he is ultimately happy with the end result. :)
