The purple wire @ comb voltage. 0.4 - 0.19 . Doing what you said it should?
In post #23 you stated what you were seeing and I said it was good !!…as long as you don’t read 12 volts or ground it’s good !!…check that voltage drop on the ignition switch !!..also when you turn the key on do you hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds and shut off ??
Hello, In serious need of some help. Started with a radio buzz and fog light switch not working. Fog lights flash when locking. 3 months later curtesy and tail lights fail. 1 month later was checking fuses in the foot well. Created more issues. Now car will not crank. No radio, approach lights, gauges don't sweep, Can't retrieve codes no display. Turn signals, head lights, brake lights is about all that works now. Additional note: The light under the hood lights dimly. Goes out if the door is opened, or if the key is just inserted. Not turned. Battery was tested bad and replaced. Found no ground corrosion. Cleaned anyway. Thank you in advance. All help is greatly
appreciated.
Obviously there are issues, but your foglights are supposed to flash when locking with the fob. FWIW. I'd start by cleaning every ground location. New battery was a good move. You can run an onboard diagnostic on the C5.
1-Turn key to 'on' position.
2-Push reset until warnings are gone, and it's blank.
3-Press and hold options button in.
4-Press and release fuel button 4 times in under 10 seconds, all while holding options button in. The DIC will then start listing codes by number and name. It will also show an H, or an HC. 'H' is for History, which means its happened sometime in the vehicles history. 'C' is current, meaning it's a current issue, and 'HC' means history AND it's also current, meaning the problem is still happening. I used my phone to make a video so I could remember what ones were showing in the DIC. You can exit the program by pressing E/M at any time. Scroll thru the modes forward by pressing options, back by pressing trip. Erase codes by pressing reset, which removes the CODE ONLY, NOT THE ISSUE!!! Listen to C5 Diag-He knows his stuff. Now.....If I could just get him to move to the Tampa area!! Anyway-Best of luck to you!

Hey Mike !!…too COLD up in Tampa !!…you should move down this way…anyway the OP said his IPC is blank so he can’t check for DTC’s…a good scan tool would be a good investment for any C5 owner that wants to do his own work.

Hey, Rob!! Quit hogging all the warmth down there. Anyway, damn, I missed his DIC was blank. Oh well......
Fuse 13 is the fuel pump fuse so I can’t see how you are dropping ALL of the voltage across the switch when you said you can hear the fuel pump run turning the key on…can you take a pic of your voltmeter set up for this ??…on the other circuits you should see some drop and not 0.
set for 20 vdc. 13 I read 12 vdc when crank attempt.
Please take a pic of how you are connecting your voltmeter…on that ignition switch circuit you have injectors and coil packs being powered when you start the car so you should not be seeing 12 volts !!…is your battery FULLY charged and connections TIGHT ??…it may be best to take the car to a shop where they can check all the modules especially the PCM and BCM to make sure they are being powered up and also communicating…where are you located ??
you kinda lost me. fuse 13 fuel pump reads 12 volts with key turned. the other three you told me to check the same way drop to 0.00.
That’s not the fuel pump fuse but where is the black lead of your voltmeter going in this picture ??…if it’s not connected to the positive post of the battery you are hooked up wrong !!…you check the other fuses this way and you’ll need another person while they try to start the car…a LOT of DIY’s say how can you have the voltmeter hooked up to 2 power sources and read a voltage ??…a voltmeter reads a difference of potential between the 2 whether it’s on the positive or negative side !!
battery is new and fully charged as this is where I started trouble shooting. Replaced because it was bad.
I live in Bailey Co.
If you may need to have someone look at your car my friend Matt who lives in Aurora has a great YouTube channel named “Schrodingers Box”…he’s a DIY diagnostic guy…very sharp and a Molecular Biologist by trade !!
I'll get someone to help me with the measurement. Which fuses you want tested are by the batt. and which ones are in the footwell?
I didn't know about reading dc voltage with two positives.

9,14, and 21 are IP fusebox…13 is fuel pump and is underhood as in my pic…reread post #21 !!
