Dave68,I remember your research from years ago, thanks for reappearing and posting your suggestion. All I had were notes and most of the pics you posted from back then are not supported on here now. I think it's a good read for anybody considering a catch can.

Yep, keep it cooler and the warm vapors are allowed to condense better. Good spot, maybe I'll move my Elite Engineering can up front. Never really thought to do it since it has a bracket for the cylinder head.
I guess if you live in an area with very cold ambient temps and park outside, mounting the CC near the engine may be a good idea. Otherwise, you should trap more oil if the CC is in a cooler area. Some of what you trap is water.
