Mid Engine C5 Adapter
I did a search but didn't find my answer. What is involved in mounting an LS right up to the transaxle, as to use in a mid-engine kit car? Auto and manual.

You won’t find your answer on this forum. Try a ls swap forum.

The distance from the back of the block to the center of the diff seems pretty long compared to what you find in a purpose-built mid-engine transaxle.
That said, when I win the lottery I'm combining one with 4-wheel steering so the turn radius stays reasonable.

Yeah, that's what I now realize. So much for a budget-friendly mid-engine package.

Kennedy Engineering makes engine adapters. Kit reference number 1760 is what you’re probably looking for.

Is this something a burned down Porsche Cayman can solve? Those get LS swapped a ton.
