Default Catch can for 2000 LS1

Hey guys any recommendations on catch can setup? I remember seeing/hearing guys install two on our engines... not really sure what to get please advise.

I have some kind of oil leak and the shop is suspecting the upper intake may have to be taken off to inspect and if im doing that i figured... may as well get catch can and fix the oil pressure sensor (not reading properly)...

Please advise so i can order the right stuff...

im in canada...

The oil leak could very well be from the failed op sensor. Some of them fail and oil seeps out the top of them. So you may get lucky and kill two birds with one stone.

Catch can on a stock car without forced induction seems like a waste of money to me.

I had this issue more than once. The stock aluminum GM oil sensors leak in the high heat location of the C5, or they are just an inferior design. I gave up on replacing that sensor a time or two before relocating it with a hose and chose a sensor made from brass.

I've owned 3 C5's and still have the one I bought new in 2k. I've had to swap the failed sensor 6 times. I'm a pro at doing it now. Even without taking the intake off. The right tools make it a 20 minute job.

I purchased the relocation kit many years ago but never installed it ...because both my engine builder and Chris from ECS talked me out of it. Both said "we don't like them because they present two places to leak vs. just one. They did my BTR spring upgrade, with the relocation kit in hand and still said "don't do it".

None the less, many have had much luck and no issues with the relocation kit leaking.

Amazon $100 and very self explanatory..

This sounds similar to the smog pump check valve that would fail ever 2-3 years. It is mounted near the firewall and typically requires that the intake manifold is removed. The other check vale is in a cooler place, so I never had to have it replaced.
