Hi everyone. I have a 2003 vert with 30k miles. Everything was working perfectly until I had the rear end re-geared to 3.90s. After that I had “speed limited to 80 mph” and “service ride control” messages on the DIC. Turns out one of the shock sensors in the rear was unplugged.
Plugged that back in and cleared all codes. But now I have a recurring “service ride control” at startup, and a C0594H in the DIC. I continually clear it but it keeps coming back. car is fine otherwise, message
only pops up at startup.
Possibly the wiring was damaged/pinched somehow, and the BCM/PCM still thinks there's something wrong. Just an idea. My thoughts are if it was fine before the swap, it would be awfully coincidental........

This is just a SWAG, but won't hurt or cost anything to try. Clear the code in the DIC and disconnect the battery for a while.
If that doesn't work, maybe contact member C5Diag. He is a pretty darn knowledgeable with the electronics on these cars.

I'm guessing here, but is your car a 6 speed? If it's an A4, you'll have to get a tune to change shift points, etc. To me, this is awfully coincidental. Have you checked fuses/relays? You say you tried 'this', but what does 'this' mean? What Lewis suggested, or I suggested, or both? Lionel Hutz is another guy who knows a lot about the C5. Try PMing some of these guys, and see what they say. My '00 has the F45, but it's different than the F55. Again, this sudden problem is a bit too coincidental in my book. Best of luck to you........
