hi guys getting ready to swap differential and would like to know if i remove the intake would that give me more clearance when i lower the trans/rear unit without removing torque tube, rear swap only trans and tube stay in car
I did the swap without removing the intake. Once you get the diff unbolted you just need to twist it as you pull it back, plenty of room. The torque tube will come down far enough.
never had a issue, just disconnect the coupler from the intake, i pulled the entire drivetrain without removing the intake to replace the rear main also.
ok i got the diff unbolted from trans pulled it back let it down lowered jacks till just touching trans and dont have enough room to clear the body ? do i have to take out exhaust ,torque tube cover ,and do they call the hose that connects the throttle body to the air housing that sits on top of radiator a coupler??

Do you have the subframe loose? I'd be surprised if you had enough room without taking the exhaust out.
The exhaust isn't a bad job if your car isn't rusty, I always disconnect the o2s at the connectors and don't take them out of the pipes
