Wow, so you fucked around in a residential area and got away with it because there wasn't enough hard evidence? And you somehow think that makes it ok?

You're an idiot. The fact that you got so mad about being called out that you made multiple shotgun posts trying to defend yourself while throwing insults AND sent me a PM with more insults tells me you're EXACTLY the kind of scumbag I thought you were. It all fits together.

Joe Overton is a machinest, engineer and advisor. Hes known for his NA LT1 Trans-Am back in the early to mid 90's. Single digit 1/4 mile car. Motor Trend has featured write ups on Joe.

My guess is that cam is absolutely good for 500+rwhp with the right heads and intake. A monster over 4500rpm. So a set of 4.10s is absolutely in order. I bet she screams.

but not a fun car for driving and enjoying on the street. Not a fan of a car that is track only. To each there own and I still find over 500 to the tire on a 5.7 w/o some type of n2o or F/I hard to swallow but who knows.

It's not my preference on a street car either. But there are some that have gone thise route and have LS1s NA over 500whp. ECS and Vengeance Racing sold a 500whp NA package. You just don't come across them much in the "General" forums. These folks tend to spend more in the "Performance" sections (when not at the track).

Here is a great write up on what it takes to get to 500whp NA.

Hey dweeb, these were ALLEGATIONS. A loud exhaust in 1st gear does not necessitate a violation. It SOUNDED fast. Get it? I broke no laws. Get over yourself. You really think you are the ****, huh? Well, that is exactly who you are. You want to get into a keyboard war? I'll give you a tip....you are going to lose Datsun B210 boy.

By any chance, are you a small wittle gay boy?

Big cam and lots of port work along with extensive head work, valve reliefs cut in the pistons, and in the first post it also mentions a 4.00 bore? So by that it is 6 liters.

This C5 is quick. Trust me. I have been doing this for a while. I am now looking for rear tires to keep her straight. And my nitrous kit is going in on May 30th. With retuning. This is going to be fun.

The previous owner gave me vague specs. I am trying to get a hold of him.....

But Texas Speed and Performance totally built this block up. It was made to race.

Dyno numbers will be coming up for all the naysayers. I hold my word.

Give TX Speed a call. They should have documentation if you have the owners name the engine was built for. At least you'll know what's hiding inside that thing.

Then get some tires (R888's or NT555R2's if you run a DR vs. a slick) then strap her down and/or take her to the track and let'er rip.

She does. I can't keep her straight at WOT. When I blow up the rear end, which I will, I will go with 4.10s. And thanks for the info on Joe. I knew nothing about him. I had 3.91's in my SS Camaro before she caught totaled in a fire while parked. She was supercharged with a big cam and dynoed at 600 rwhp. I like that gear. Are 3.91's good with a C5?

Thank you brother.

Joe used to frequent LS1 Tech forum back in the day.

You may very well have a steeper gearset in it already. Although it's likely something the seller would have called out. You can figure that out pretty easily though with the below chart and some cruising time in the car.

I ran 3.90s in my silver 99 coupe. But it was basically stock with just a catback and Hurst short throw. I liked the 3.90s but I love the 4.10s. I ran 4.10s at two power levels in my black 99 MN6 coupe (prior to procharging it). At 418rwhp and 428rwhp my car loved that gear. I like the Nitto NT555R2 DRs. Which I'm currently running on the car with 634rwhp/568rwtq. So far they are very good, just street driving the car though. No track time with the new setup. Not interested in replacing my trans or another diff...again...at this juncture. Plus I was booted from Island Dragway for not having a cage...200rwhp ago.
