VaraRam Installed, my thoughts...
I CLEARLY stated that it is possible that the vararam may introduce cooler air into the engine and that may create a doubly helpful effect by putting denser air into the engine and improving the PCM's settings because of the cooler air.
My intial comments are clearly aimed at the ram-air myth.

Yep, Just like the other major brands work too! No one better than the other.
...and maybe one day you'll get one and try it out and see that it makes you faster.:) vrrroooommmmmmmmmmm, vrrrrrroooooommmmmmmmm!!!:):D

No need to take shots either, Tony, though I've come to expect that here and elsewhere. Oh well, it's all good..you take care. Have fun and if you need anything, call or write. Hype may be what sold you on your intake, I don't know, but, we have many happy customers to vouch for the VR and the Vortex and the Blackwing. We'll be ok.: and so will you.

**EDIT** I spelled thought wrong so I corrected it. Also, I never, ever said the VR doesn't work. It appears to work as good as the other brands, I have seen some with better results, some with worse. I was going to say they all work better than the stock box, but I don't really know if we can say that anymore, thanks to JRODS dyno numbers.

I need to get one. I know it works.
The funny thing about the Vararam is Everyone who has one says they have had "MEASUREABLE" gains at the track..
All the naysayer can sho you all the math in the world as to why it is NOT ram Air.. BUT, not a single one of these College Professors can give a single Real reason for why people are seeing gains over other COLD air intakes.
I firmly believe there is no RAM Air (as defined) but most people forget about the benefit of Positive Air Pressure to maintain the flow of air all the way to the back and far reaches of the intake manifold.
Most cold air intakes just tap "across" the air flow.. This causes turbulence (like blowing air across a coke bottle opening" In fact, if you blow the air across that same bottle fast enough and at the right angle, you can actually cause a vacuum and ultimately suck the contents right out. That is Physics... ;)
The Vararam may not provide True RAM AIR but it does provide the MOST Positive (non mechanical) pressure you could ever attain in your intake. And it Obviously Works...

My intial comments are clearly aimed at the ram-air myth.
1) Filter flows more CFM than a gauze type
2) headunit has a radiused inlet to the MAS.....it has been proven that a radiused inlet helps reduce turbulence while flowing cylinder heads
3) It drops the air intake temps....drawing from the nose of the car will also see radiant heat from the radiator.
