First startup after mods - need advice
Here is my build thread in the FI section:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-aa-build.html
Here is a list of my recent modifications:
AA V3 Ti Kit - 6 rib
3.6" pulley
80# injectors
Katech C5R chain
Melling 10295 oil pump - high pressure
Tick stage 2 blower cam (227/243 | .625”/.615” | LSA116+6)
Tick TP660DVSK dual valve springs / titanium retainers
7.400 Hardened pushrods
Timing cover / water pump / cam gaskets
LG 1 7/8" pros with catless X-pipe
DeWitts cutdown radiator
SPAL fans
AEM wideband gauge
Autometer boost gauge
AA dual fuel system
Alky meth kit - single nozzle
2 Bar MAP sensor
Mantic twin disc clutch / lightened steel flywheel
ECS trans brace
New trans fluid / diff fluid
I've filled the coolant reservoir to the cold limit in the tank.
I added the supercharger oil and verified the level, it is a contained unit
The steering rack was bled and burped, verified the correct cold level
I verified the engine oil level is good
I still need to prime the external fuel pump by jumping the hobbs switches, same with the Alky meth pump
I just have to button up a few loose ends tonight after work, but I'm ready for my first startup this weekend and wondering if you all had any advice? I've never changed this much stuff at once on my car and wondering what I should look for during the first few minutes of startup?
I'm assuming my first priority is the oil pressure gauge and if I don't see any oil pressure within 5 seconds I need to shut it off. Then I've heard the car will sound like a sewing machine for a few seconds after swapping the springs / cam / pushrods. I'm also expecting some smoke as residue burns off of the headers.
I welcome any input from your past experiences / builds, thanks!
