Default brake duct clearance

I want a square set of c5z rear wheels.. 18x10.5, et58. And a 285/35 or 295 Michelin PSS tire (or similar)... nothing crazy. I figure it fits OK on my 1998 based on what I read. (??) But what if I add on the AAF or DRM brake duct kits? Will they clear? Will I lose the turn radius? Willing to add a spacer but I don't want it to poke out the other end.

I have a square setup on my Z06, 18 x 11, +55, 295/35 tires and I get a slight rub if I go full lock to lock attempting a u-turn or backing in/out. My car is so low that I try not to do those anyways. I don't know how close a fit these other brake ducts are to stock Z06 ducts but if you're that worried I would cut 1/2" - 1" off the brake ducts before getting spacers for the wheels

Are you rubbing on top because you are lowered or on the inner sidewall because of the tire size? Only a slight rub at full lock is acceptable to me anyway.

Sorry, this kind of backing plate duct, not the little nozzle that barely sticks out of the liner...

The description does say "even works great with large race slicks on the front" but does not say what size a 'large race slick' is.

I sent them an email, see what they say.

I've got the Doug Rippie ducts and I get a slight rub at full turn. 315/30/18 square tire setup. If I notice excessive wear during my safety checks I throw on a slab of Gorilla Tape and send it! Track car, minimal street use.

Sorry, I mistook those as replacement for missing OEM

Called AAF, he said there will be a very little rub at full lock... if a 3 mm spacer didn't fix it, 5mm would. (or don't steer so hard lol)
