probably not more than .2 - .3. most say it isn't worth it to make this change unless you go to a 3.73 and torque converter. Changing the torque converter with your 3.15's would probably give you more than the 3.42 gear change. Someone with more experience may have better info.
The 3.42's alone are worth 1 or 2 tenths. Add in a roughly 3000 stall convertor to the mix and your lookin at 5 to 7 tenths provided traction is not a problem! :cheers: :chevy
On a stock Vette without many extra performance mods....whats the right TC ?? What difference is made ?? Is it still drive and act normal (stock) under no load ??
The local speed shop here told me vigalanti 3200-342-shift kit and a set of slicks and ill lose 1sec or more. Sounds about right reading other forums, what does everyone think. :steering:
