- the ***** are semi-spherical
- they apparently have some coating (not as smooth as the original/other brands) or are not finished properly
- the holes are smaller (1.5 vs. 2.3 mm)
- the outside finish is pretty rough
can i use them? i know the oil holes are restricted on some applications, but this is pretty much stock so i expected them to be stock size. i thought the ls1 needed spherical ball ends.
edit: the texture of the ***** is a bit exagerated in the pic. they are pretty smooth, just not as smooth as polished.

What brand are those? I know I would not use them in my build. Can you return them? I went with Smith Brothers and they don't look rough like the ones in your pictures
Where does he say they're custom? They are aftermarket, but may be stock, OEM length. Even if they are considered custom, they could certainly be any length desired, including 7.400". He'll be fine with the radius/ball design. They have a smaller opening due to being oil restricted. Smith Brothers accomplishes this with a roll pin/split pin. I actually have a set of 7.500" for sale. To the OP: Check your pushrods at each end for the hole size. If one end is smaller than the other, the end with the smallest diameter goes up towards the rocker, NOT down towards the lifter.......

Did you skip coffee today? The title is custom pushrods and the guy you’re responding to is the OP
