2003 50th Anniversary Edition Corvette with roughly 25k miles. My ABS and Traction control lights both came on within days each other.
codes are:
C1214 H C
C1287 H
C1288 H
seems odd that it is throwing three codes within days of each other. The second two codes seem to relate to the steering position sensor. Not sure on the first code. Do I look at each one of these codes individually or is there something bigger causing all three codes? EBCM? I am new to corvettes. Formerly a Mustang guy
C1214 SOLENOID VALVE RELAY CONTACT OR COIL CIRCUIT OPEN. The DIC on my Vette was showing Service Active Handling, ABS and TC. and I pulled the C1214 C code. I had to re-solder 5 points on the EBCM. It got rid of the message on the DIC. You may have the same problem. The "H" indicates history and the "C" indicates a current problem.
Thank you. I will pull the ECBM and re-solder once I put the car up for the winter. Hopefully it clears the codes or at least the c1214 code. I hope it clears them all as I don’t look forward to dealing with pulling the steering column.
Before you do, try uplugging and plugging the EBCM connector, multiple times. The codes popped up AFTER I had the EBCM repaired by ABS Fixer. Apparently, the connector contacts were getting a bit corroded.
