Default rev limiter
hi guys just curios if im running 50 mph and floor it , on the 3-4 shift it hits the rev limiter could that be read by the pcm as a miss-fire and set a code p1870 tcc-slip?

The engine will only hit the Rev limiter if you exceed about 6200rpm, you shouldn't be close to it on the 3 to 4 shift I would think, but then your talking to a M6 owner.

My thought on this with a auto and if you changed the rear gear and your tune isn't correct the pcm will think the the tranny is slipping that will set that code. Also it will allow the trans to overrev before shifting
