Default ECBM danger

My name is Matt and I own a 2000 Corvette Roadster with 5200 miles on the clock. The car is red and is loaded with factory options. My question is this;; I am receiving

a Service Active Handling message on my DIC. This has occurred on several occasions. Does not servicing the ECBM pose any danger in driving the car.

Thanks Matt

Welcome to the Forum !!…see what DTC’s may be set and if you don’t have a scan tool you can access them through the DIC.

The only danger is the absence of the AH function if you need it. If you get the message, the system has shut itself off.

Your "Service AH" may have nothing to do with the EBCM. Exactly what codes are you getting? I've had a Service TC, Service AH for years. It's a bad SWPS, which seem to fail far more often that the EBCM. Mine had a C1283 H C, meaning a History code, and a Current code. It would only display this code while using the DIC WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING!!!! Thanks, Rob (C5 Diag!)!!

Post the codes. There are a bunch of codes and reasons for that message that have nothing to do with the EBCM. Some are wiring, some are grounds, some are connections and some the pump just needs a workout.

Hi Rob...the codes that appear are........Service Active Handling.......Service Traction Control.....They appear after 30 minutes of driving., When

I turn the engine off and start it back up the codes disappear...I went through the process of cleaning out the codes but they come back. thanks Matt

These are not the codes...you access the DTC's through the DIC...they will be a P,C,B, or U folowed by 4 digits...watch the video and report back...you will he H or C after the 4 digit code...history or a current code.
