I ditched the run flats a few years ago and alls been well. Normally when my TPMS sensors die they just go blank in the dic but today I got a right rear tire flat warning along with max speed 55 - reduced handling warning. My tire is not flat. A check if the forum and other sources say this may be because the final TPMS died but this did not happen with any of the other sensors. The warning will not go away. I’m sure it’s not related but at the same time my rear shifter cable bushing went and I had to get towed. Any thoughts?

If your car is an 01-04 you can turn the TPMS option off in the BCM if you don't care about having that feature. You will need access to a Tech2 to do this

4. F1: Body
5. Select Product Line = Y
6. Select Body Style = (1) Two-Door Coupe/Sedan
7. Select Transmission = Manual/Auto

9. F2: Special Functions
10. F0: Set Options
11. F0: Tire Pressure Monitor
12. Toggle the function "On/Off" and then hit the "Save Options" and power off the TECH2.
