I'm going to make a post a little later but I just installed my blackwing, too. I have a G-Tech Pro (no flames please). Here are the before and after #'s
I was surprised at how small the intake hole was on the stock box. Hardest part on the install was removing the plug on the MAF. Press the grey center and slide out the keeper.
Corsa exhaust sitting in my living room going on Wednesday. Good deal on both at Exit28
I would go with the high-performance exhaust next. If you really want to
spend the extra bucks go with a 3.42 rear end gear and high peformance
torque converter.
I might be able to install the exhaust myself. However when my exhaust fell off when the dealer was looking at it ( :skep: ), I had to get it welded it on. Can I install the ratio myself?
I would go with either the Hurst or B&M shifter we are currently running a sale on both 175.00 a piece youre choice. They both cut te throws by 30% and get you down the hi way or track 1-2/10's of a seconnd quicker.
OUR NEW POLICY IS TO BEAT ALL OTHERS PRICING SO IF YOU SEE ITFOR LESS WE WILL BEAT IT.I prefer the B&M but its truly a matter of personal taste they will each allow you to shift the car faster and can be both topped with your stock or our new Delrin composite shifter and again if tou see it cheaper we will beat it.Ask for Mike or Dave S.480-517-4969
I'm thinking about a Blackwing as well for my '01 MY Coupe but, I was wondering how it affects your gas mileage. Would you mind sharing when you find out how yours does?
You didn't say if you have an A4 or MN6. If A4, I find for the money that a Hypertech programmer will make a difference in SOTP feel and 1/4 mile times. Check around, several vendors have them for less than $300 now.
