Default Double Din Install Help

Hey Everyone, I’m installing a new head unit tomorrow in my 2001 automatic and had some questions I can’t find answers to that I want confirmation on before I start so I can make sure my install is safe and correct and would appreciate any help.

1. Which footwell wire is the accessory? I’m seeing yellow is everywhere, but I watched the five star car stereo guys install video on YouTube and they said the orange is the accessory after testing. Does this change with the years? They also said you can grab orange from ignition, but everyone here says brown is the right wire.

2. I’ve got the PAC wiring harness to keep my Bose speakers, but the red accessory wire isn’t long enough to get to the footwell so I need to extend it. What gauge wire should I use? The PAC is thin and maybe 18awg but is that too thin? Also plan on adding an in-line fuse with a 10 amp fuse.

3. I initially planned to use T-tap splice connectors for tapping into my accessory and rear light as this would be easier than soldering them imo, and because I’ve never had a problem with them but I read some people said not to so I’m concerned. Is this not ok and if not, why?

4. Lastly, I’m doing front and rear cameras, and my plan is to wire the rear camera with power off of the reverse light and then carry the wires to the radio for the rear switch wire and power that off of the rear light too. Then for the front, I was gonna do a relay in the PAC harness before the headunit plug in and have the accessory wire be the power to the switch in the relay and use the yellow constant 12v wire from the PAC harness to be the main power and have two stems of that from the relay. One to power the radio and the other to power the front camera with a switch. Is this ok, and is 18 gauge wire ok for this as well? Got this wiring info also from the five star car stereo guys as well.
