2004 convertible. Can somebody please tell me where the underhood light plugs in to? Mne is attached to the light itself and runs down behind the hood mat towards the radiator but the other end isn't plugged into anything and I don't see any place to plug it in for 12 volt power.
Thanks!
Thanks Red. I found it, plugged it in but no light. I tested the bulb and it's good.
Fuse is goo.Does anybody know where the switch is for on/off when I open the hood?
Thanks very much.
Rob.
It's a tilt switch in the light housing. There should be 12v input to the light. You may have to open the door to get the MONITORED LD Relay to turn on, first.
As mentioned, it's a tilt switch in the housing. In mine, the pin on the harness rusted out. So now I have to get in there and repair the plug. It's a stupid little thing, but it bugs the crap out of me having a light not work!
I have a tilt switch in my Ranger pickup which is Mercury activated (I'm guessing it's not stock) but I see nothing under the plastic bulb cover that looks like a tilt switch. Perhaps it's in the wiring harness?
Take a close look at the plug itself. My plug on the car side corroded away and the light has never worked for me. I could replace it, but I have bigger fish to fry.
