I want to run the manual valve with my accusump installation because it’s $270 cheaper than the electric one but I don’t want to have to turn the valve on every time I start the car and it’ll be mounted below the car so I won’t be able to reach it so would I just be able to leave the valve on all the time and forfeit the startup prelubrication feature? I don’t really care about that part because the car has gone 80k miles without Startup prelubrication and it’s been fine, I’m more worried about preventing oil starvation during hard driving and cornering. Is this a viable option?
+1 for calling Canton. I do believe that if you leave the valve open post shutdown you'll dump the 2 or 3qts from the accusump into the pan. I've got the Canton setup with the electric valve with a switch in the interior. I think it's worth the extra cost.
